ADHD, ATTACK! Webinars

COVID ain’t such a great time to have ADHD. (Whoever thought we’d be longing for the structure of normal school?)

But what if you could use your ADHD to get your distance-learning work done?

In each of these short, interactive (and free!) webinars, you’ll learn…

  • a crucial piece of how the ADHD mind works

  • a method for studying you can try out immediately

  • a master skill for learning you can perfect in college

In other words? You’ll learn how to turn an ADHD weakness into an academic strength.

ADHD, Attack! (Writing)

We with ADHD hyperfocus, and struggle to hold lots of stuff in our head at once. This makes a complex project — like writing an essay — a world of pain.

What if we could use our scattered brains to write brilliant essays naturally? In this free, 40-minute webinar, Brandon will show you a new way to write…

  • a short essay

  • a serious research project

  • a 100-page undergraduate thesis

You’ll leave with specific tricks that you can start trying out on your next writing assignment.

(Brandon created this approach to survive in his double-humanities major at the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State. It worked: only twice did he get below an “A” on a writing assignment — and he counts the nights he stayed up late using his method as some of the happiest of his life!)

ADHD, Attack! (Reading)

We with ADHD tend to find ordinary stuff boring — and boring stuff painful.

What if we could use that trait to read faster and understand more? In this free, 40-minute webinar, Brandon will show you a new way to engage…

  • dull textbooks

  • dreary novels

  • pointless articles

You’ll leave with specific moves that you can try out on your next assignment.

(Brandon’s an inveterate reader, and used his ADHD to get an 800 on his high-school SAT Verbal. He’s a reading-science geek, and has taught classes on speed-reading and academic reading at the University of Washington.)

ADHD, Attack! (Math)

We with ADHD can get lost in solving problems — and too often give up.

What if we could use our scattered brains to solve hard math problems more easily? In this free, 40-minute webinar, Brandon will show you a new way to engage…

  • your math homework

  • your math quizzes

  • your math tests

You’ll leave with specific techniques that you can start trying out on Monday.

(Brandon wasn’t a math person in school, but he used his ADHD to get a 790 on his high-school SAT Math, and then an 800 on his GRE Quantitative. He’s dug deep into the psychology of creativity, and has tutored math for more than a decade. One student recently called him “the math wizard”, which is hilarious.)

How do we run these webinars?

Questions, answers, etc.

How long is a webinar?

They’re just 40 minutes — because you’re busy! Brandon will present for the first 20–30 minutes, and then take questions. (Feel free to leave whenever.)

When are these held?

Sundays, at 4pm Eastern / 3pm Central / 2pm Mountain / 1pm Pacific.

Where are these held?

On Zoom — when you sign up, we’ll send you a link.

Is Brandon a really boring presenter, and will I be tempted to fall asleep in the webinar?

Yes, undoubtedly.

What’ll I see?

Pictures. Stories. Brain science. Learning hacks.

What’ll I get?

You’ll leave with step-by-step instructions of how to use your weird brain to make something hard actually enjoyable.

Are these for parents, or for students?

Both, actually! And either: if only one of you wants to go for it, that’s fine.

Can I sign up at the last minute?

You can try! We recommend 48 hours ahead of time.

These are really free?

Eh, for now!
